Bruised by books: How to make reading physical

The Body Kinestetic intelligent can bring the literature to life, through dance or theatre. Sometimes, like in the case of Harry Potter, there is a unique sport in the text that can be brought to work. Many universities across the globe now have official Quidditch teams who compete at Qudditch World Cups, just like in the books. Athletes run with broomsticks between their legs, throwing kickball Quaffels into hooped goal posts while the Seekers chase after the Snitch, a player with a sock tail that must be captured and returned to the field in order for the game to end. As a bonus, the snitch doesn’t have to stay on the field – though for the sake of sanity a wider area is determined before the game begins to limit where the snitch can run. As someone who was briefly on University of Toronto’s Quidditch team, this game is way harder than it looks. It also involves full contact tackling... and most of the members of the university teams from the states also play football. Needless to say, you should give the boys from Texas wide berth if you don't want to come home black and blue.
